CarbonNeutralLNG at the 6th Nuremberg Workshop on Methanation and 2nd Generation Fuels
The 6th Nuremberg Workshop on Methanation and 2nd Generation Fuels took place 1-2 June 2023. The programme included sessions on “Methane for Europe”, “Green Carbon Sources”, “Innovation in Biological and Catalytic Synthesis” and “Industrial Applications” as well as open sessions with the latest news from the audiance. Approx. 100 people participated.
Dr.-Ing. Peter Treiber gave a presentation, GreenLNG for mobility – The EU project CarbonNeutralLNG.
The presentation gives insights to GreenLNG as a transport fuel, how the integration of renewable power (e-gasification) reduces the investment cost, a novel dual function chemical catalytic hydrogenation / methanation reactor, biological methanation, electromethanogenesis and a zero emission approach (monitoring of fugitive emissions) as well as aspects of the roadmap to market including consumer acceptance and expectations.
